Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Galaxy Tab aims to make strong sales figures this holiday season, being marketed as the perfect traveling companion where one is able to download a book to the Kindle eReader, or tune in to Slacker Radio for a different kind of listening experience with more than 100 radio stations to choose from, or even view a movie thanks to its generous display which works much better than a regular smartphone display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab will come with a brilliant 7-inch touch screen display, running on a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application processor to deliver users with a robust HTML Web browsing experience. It's also got built-in 3G HSPA connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0.

"Samsung recognises the tremendous growth potential in this newly-created market and we believe that the Samsung Galaxy Tab brings a unique and open proposition to market," said Samsung's head of mobile communications JK Shin.Samsung says its research shows people want this device to be useable on the move and they need to be able to communicate with it.

So the Tab can make calls - and video calls, as well as all the video, music and book content that you get on an iPad.You'll be able to access millions of books, plus newspapers and magazines - Samsung even says that "we expect the Tab to play an important role in the digitalization of printed material".
