Miss Universe from Mexico, Jimena Navarrete
Jimena Navarrete, a 22-year-old model from Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe in Las Vegas on Monday, extending Latin 
America's domination of the pageant to three consecutive years.The first runner-up was Miss Jamaica, Yendi Phillipps, while Miss Australia, Jesinta Campbell, was second runner-up. Miss Ukraine, Anna Poslavska came in fourth, ahead of Miss Philippines, Venus Raj.
Miss Mexico, Jimena Navarette, was named Miss Universe after competing in three contests: swimsuit, evening gown and "the final question."
This year's final question was "'what are your views on the problems of children using the Internet without proper supervision?" It was posed to the top five contestants — Mexico, Australia, Jamaica, Philippines and Ukraine.
Since the age of 15, the 5-foot-8-inch Jimena Navarrete, a self-described nature enthusiast who enjoys boating and motorcycles, has been working in the modeling world with gigs that include working the runway at fashion shows. Most recently she walked at Mexico Fashion Week 2009 for designer Macario Jimenez.
